A beautiful and elegantly simple gold coin dating to 1912. This 20 Franc coin has the bust of Marianne, a national symbol of France and liberty on the obverse and le coq gaulois (the Gallic rooster) on the reverse. Finely detailed edge with the words liberté, egalité, fraternité. Close in size to the American nickel, this lovely coin has a slightly rosy hue. It was produced in the Paris Mint. It is 22KT Gold and simply mounted with a modern jump ring of 14KT at the top. A statement coin on its own or stacked with other chains and pendants. 6.7 grams. 20mm wide by 23mm in height.
