A beautiful and elegantly decorated Maltese Cross pendant. Searching and finding beautiful antique and finely crafted pieces that are one of a kind is what makes this job so rewarding. While this is a small pendant it is replete with finely crafted details from the white enamel decorating the front and the back to the same scoring details of gold on both sides as well. There is an "F" in script font with a crown over it on both sides. One side has some enamel loss next to the center of the F. I always try to point out any imperfections, but this does not mar the overall effect of this piece. The Maltese cross represents the eight obligations by the Knights Hospitallers of St. John. Live in truth, have faith, repent one's sins, give proof of humility, love justice, be merciful, be sincere and wholehearted, and to endure persecution. Height 15mm by Width 13mm. A noble and beautiful piece of jewelry! Not marked but tested 18KT. 3.1 grams.
