There's something about gold coins that brings to mind endurance and a strong feeling of sturdiness. This lovely antique 2.50-dollar Liberty Head gold coin was struck by the U.S. mint in 1905 and is still here today. Designed by the engraver Christian Gobrecht who served as the chief engraver during the first half of the 1840s, his designs are richly textured. This coin is 16mm in diameter and 4.4 grams of pure gold. I've added a modern custom large jump ring at the top. Simple, elegant and ready to be worn on a chain around the neck or suspended from a bracelet. Add one of our beautiful chains to complete the look!
