A classic piece of Victorian sentimentality. The padlock was used as a symbol of love and fidelity. Enduring the ages and still a beautiful symbol to be worn and cherished. This 15KT puffed heart has beautiful chasing on its front side as well as its top and is centered with a richly saturated cabochon oval garnet. The rear has a clear glass locket back which appears to be a more modern addition. The clasp opens and closes with a nice click. This would be a great extender for a chain, or to wear as a pendant or on a bracelet. 30mm in height by 16mm wide. Not marked but tested. 4.6 grams. English in origin.
